Reading

Each week your child will read with an adult at school and this will be recorded in their reading record on the right hand side.  We encourage parents/carers to read as often as possible at home, please aim for a minimum of three times a week, and write a comment in their child's reading record. We encourage children to be independent and therefore children are responsible for changing their own reading books once finished.

Spellings

Spellings will be given on a Friday to be tested the following Friday. Spellings will include number names (zero to twenty), days of the week, months of the year as well as words linked to our daily phonics sessions.

Homework

Homework will be given out each Friday and will include both English and Maths, where possible this will be electronic. We ask that homework is handed in on the following Wednesday. We encourage children to do their own homework as it is always better to have a go and make mistakes rather than to not try at all.

 Reminders

It is essential that all children have:

Labelled clothes (including P.E kit)

Named water bottles

 Book bags every day

Please remember:

Homework to be handed in on a Wednesday

PE days are Tuesday and Wednesday
