Our day

Each day we start the day with morning activities. A group of children will be listened to read and key rings will be practised during these times.

Children are then taught literacy where a weekly text is used as a focus. Children will then work in their groups on a focus activity before choosing from the continuous provision areas.

A phonics session is then delivered before lunchtime.

After lunch, children are taught numeracy, again children will work in a focus group before choosing from the continuous provision areas.

At the end of the day we listen to a story before getting ready to go home.

Reading books and keyrings

Reading books, reading records and keyrings are sent home each day to be practised at home. Please remember to bring book bags with your child's  reading book and keyring back to school each day.

Learning Logs

Learning Logs are sent home each Friday with a task for you to complete  with your child. This is often linked to the learning that has taken place in class so will give your child opportunity to show off what they know. This is then used in class as an opportunity for children to talk about what they have done. Please send the learning log back to school each week.

P.E

P.E is on Fridays.

Indoor P.E kit is black shorts and white t shirt

Outdoor P.E kit is tracksuit and pumps/trainers.

For health and safety reasons, children may not be able to take part in P.E if they are wearing jewellery.
